Well, I'm officially Facebook official! Here is how we announced:
We already have three little coynes, but will soon have four! Baby #4 due may 2013!
So, my mother CANNOT keep a secret, so once I told her that we were telling people, she immediately told her entire side of the family. When I found this out, I thought we better hurry and announce or everyone would hear secondhand! Facebook is by far the easiest way to get the word out, so we put this up yesterday. And within hours we had over 100 likes and 60+ comments....which when you consider my previous post makes me feel all warm and snuggly, I suppose! It's not very personal, and I woud have prefered to tell everyone face-to-face, but in today's world, this is what we do, especially for people who are far away or we don't see very often.

I LOVE the way you announced your pregnancy. SO cute and original. Congratulations! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! That is such a cute way to announce! Using your name is nifty. I keep trying to think of how I will announce (when the day comes...it isn't here yet unfotunately). Everyone always does it in such a cute way and I don't want to be a copy cat. Ha. So we will just have to see.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again on your pregnancy! That is sooo exciting! I do not know how you do it all! You are an inspiration!
Dr. Coyne This is too funny! My mom was the one that spilled the beans too, thus forcing me to announce at like 8 or 9 weeks! That was much earlier than I wanted to say. Twinners. If I come to Provo our babies are going to play together. They'll be so close together! :) hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI love your cute idea of announcing :) And I totally relate to the good feeling of seeing all those comments and likes on FB--that's how I felt posting Baby Andersen coming in April. It makes my pregnancy sickness so much more bearable when all my friends and family are happy and supportive!
ReplyDeleteha! I love that. What a clever announcement. I luckily got the news out to most of my family before my Grandma went and told everyone else (I can't blame her too much, it's her first grandchild), but it was still fun to announce on facebook! 100 likes, you better consider yourself loved!
ReplyDeleteOK so I know I don't get class credit for posting blog entries anymore, but that is the cutest announcement! Congratulations!! We are having our first the end of February. Finally figured out why I was missing so much class! Don't worry, I will be finishing my degree and worked out a plan to get my masters! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I know you have probably been told this a million times by now but that is such a cute way to announce! I look up to you for being able to do it all! You are wonder woman!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Posting stuff on facebook is so quick and easy. It saves makine calls to everyone about important life events.
ReplyDeleteDr. Coyne, you're so clever. Congratulations!
